HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS ABIGAIL!

Abigail had so much fun this weekend celebrating her birthday with family and friends.She had her first party and wore her first party dress (it had flamingos on it!).  We had a lot of fun gathering together such special people to celebrate a crazy, exciting and memorable year.  Our pictures weren't so great, but we hope Helga/Omi took some good ones!  

For now these will have to do...

The celebration continued today on Abigail's actual birthday...

It's my birthday?  We met Benjamin downtown for a special lunch out and spent some more time with Aunt Stefanie, Omi and Cousins Noah and Hannah.  If I could figure out how to upload photos from my iPhone, they would be here.  Help Uncle Mark!

Finally, the real fun began when Benjamin got home from work.  Abigail was pretty unsure about her birthday cake at her party, so we went for round two on her actual birthday.  She wasn't necessarily sure about the taste and took only small tastes, but she sure loved crushing her cake to bits. Quite the sticky mess for us to clean up!

After cake (and bath!) we lit Abigail's special birthday candle and opened gifts.  

We like to think that Abigail had a great first birthday and we know she has given us a great first year! Happy birthday monkey!
